I love millennials. I don’t complain about them, I learn from them.  By watching this video about decluttering your fantasy self, I learned a) that I have a fantasy self and b) that I shop for my fantasy self.

The concept of fantasy self is new for me; I never even considered it. And the minute I met and confronted my fantasy self I realized that most of my shopping mistakes (and we all make them) have to do with purchasing for my fantasy self and not my real self.

The best news is:  you don’t have to buy tickets or travel to New York to attend.

Something broke in me this week.  It was palpable, and a surprise to me. I hadn’t been expecting it at all.

Of course it had to do with the results of the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.

Yes something shifted.  I let go, gave up, turned inward.  I said, it’s not my world anymore.  I feel out of touch.

When I was young…the future was the happy Jetsons, a popular TV cartoon, a family flitting about outer space and enjoying a futuristic version of the 1950’s good life.
